Use a custom color for the background or foreground of a control
- Right-click the control, and then click Advanced Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Click the BackColor or ForeColor property.
- In the top-right corner of the Properties dialog box, click the button with 3 dots.
- Do one of the following:
- Use an existing custom color by clicking it in the custom color palette.
- Create a new custom color by clicking Define Custom Colors. Click in the color spectrum on the color you want to start with. To change the Red, Green, Blue, and Lum (luminosity) settings, slide the bar above the settings up or down. To change Hue and Saturation, type different settings. Add the new color to the palette by clicking Add to Custom Colors.
- To use the custom color for the current control, click it in the Custom colors palette, and then click OK.
